Today marks one year since I launched my very first homeware collection, the mid-century modern Architecture range pictured below. Much to my delight and through sheer determination it’s been onwards and upwards ever since.
There have been many highlights over the last year, such as exhibiting at fab events like The Independent Interiors Show and Handmade in Britain and meeting so many lovely independent designers to share the experience with. The cherry on the top was of course being shortlisted for the Confessions of a Design Geek Bursary and showing my collection at Home last month. What a great way to round off my first year in business!
Anyway…what better way to mark this milestone than to share some more images of my new spring/summer 2014 collection, titled Promenade.
The Promenade collection portrays British summertime, albeit in a slightly optimistic fashion (i.e. no grey skies). The quirky, bold prints are inspired by the nostalgia of past holidays, faded photographs and general ‘beachiness’. I don’t remember it raining during my summer holidays in Britain when I was a child, that’s not to say it didn’t, but amidst all the fun it didn’t matter. This is what I have tried to interpret in the new designs.
Promenade launches in March. If you would like any further information, please feel free to get in touch. In the meantime I’d also love to know what you think of the collection!
