Please vote for me for the COADG Bursary

Last Thursday evening the confessions of a design geek bursary shortlist was announced and I literally couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw I was on it!!!! I’m overjoyed to be in the running for such a prestigious opportunity.

The bursary winner will receive a stand at Home London, a photo shoot, a film shoot, products stocked in the Southbank Centre Shop and mentoring from some of the best in the business.

It is now up to the public to decide who this lucky person will be (and I’m up against some great designers). Needless to say I would love your votes and support.

I’d be so grateful If you could spare a couple of seconds (that’s all it takes) to vote for me and of course please feel free to share it with your friends! 🙂

By Hand at Salford Art Gallery

Last Wednesday evening I was at Salford Museum and Art Gallery (with a stall of goodies) to mark the launch of By Hand: the Shop. By hand is a new craft shop at Salford Museum, featuring the work of independent artists and designer makers, many of who are local to the area. A collection of my cushions, teacups and tea towels are amongst the gorgeous products for sale.

The shop display is captivating and I’m sure visitors will find it hard to leave without purchasing a special something. It you’re looking for unique gift ideas for Christmas this is definitely the place to go!

Great Times at the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair

Last weekend saw me exhibit my homewares at the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair in the stylish Spinningfields area of Manchester. I met lots of lovely customers and had some fab stand neighbours in Macojay, Maneggi and Ella Robinson, who made my time there even more fun!

I’ve visited the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair on many occasions over the last few years and it was great to be amongst the talented makers showcasing there this time.

I also used the event to introduce some new additions to my collection… tea towels! I’m delighted to say they were a bestseller at the show and I have now added them to my online shop.

I’m excited to be exhibiting next at Handmade in Britain, London in November.  Fellow Northerners can still see my work at the By Hand: exhibition & shop at Salford Museum & Art Gallery.

Finally… make sure you keep a eye out for my top picks from the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair coming soon…

The Independent Interiors Show

On Saturday I exhibited at the first ever Independent Interiors Show, which took place at the quirky 2022 venue in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. It was a pleasure to be involved with the show, which featured some of the best independent designer-makers from the north. Being fairly new to the scene it was great to meet so many local creatives and interior enthusiasts! To top the day off a number of fab up-cycling and ceramic workshops took place and sent ripples of applause around the venue throughout the day!

The folks at Tim Simpson Photography were on hand to record the day’s events and here are some terrific shots of my stand courtesy of them!

The event was a huge success and so it’s no surprise to hear that organisers Rachael and Victoria are already planning the next one!
